In a Christmas miracle of sorts funding of Everything Dies through Kickstarter has reached over 100%! What does this mean?  Well, funds will be relinquished to me (or taken from backers’ accounts) until Jan. 15, the original end date.  People still have the opportunity to donate if they would like some of the special offers they can get though donating.  Any extra money will go towards making the new books look beautiful and raising the amount of books published.  If the extra money reaches about $700-$800 it will also fully fund the printing of Everything Dies #3!

This was a very pleasant Chistmas Eve/Noche Buena. :) Got lots of nifty stuff, all of which I am very grateful for. Ate good food with the good company of a loving family, took lots of cool pictures with my new Marius, and even dressed up in a dress, heels and make up. :) It wasn't any fancier than other Christmases. The only difference really, is that we spent it outside at our garage than inside at our living room, and that Ate Ina and her family only stayed for dinner, and had their own Noche Buena with the Juans back at Merville.

I thank the Lord for the simple things in this year's Christmas. The gifts are just bonuses. But again, all of which I am grateful for. :) Also, a certain personal greeting from a certain friend. Hahaha. :)

Tomorrow, I'm sure it's also going to be more or less the same as past Christmases. Lunch at Pancho Villa then mid-afternoon to dinner at St. Ignatius with the Mantarings and Reidenbachs. I can't wait! I'll prolly blog about that tomorrow. Haha.

Merry Christmas, loves! <3

That had been one of the most uneventful birthdays ever. First, it rained. And then I got sick. Whatup?

But I can't deny that it had been one of the happiest. :)

Thank you to everyone who greeted! Especially those who spent the last moments of my birthday with me! Bidz, Raech, Chris, Raschid, Kelly, Pjay, Guiller and Carlo Yao. Special thanks to you for bringing me home. ;)

My birthday could have been more eventful, but I honestly wouldn't have asked for more.

Much loves, friends! Gaiz, I'm twenty! Hahaha! Woohoo!

Medyo napag-isip-isipan ko na baka ang secret to life is asking the right questions. O baka naman "ask, and ye shall receive."

Nasabi ko ito dahil nung isang gabi lang ay tinanong ko kung ano ba talaga ang cool. At ito ang naging kasagutan:

12:30am. Philippine Children's Medical Center (PCMC). 21 Dec 09.

awesommmme! )

Please check it out: Walls of Hope.
Hanggang Jan. 3 pa ang proyektong ito. Yikkee, magpipinta na 'yan.

We are getting very very very close to full funding of Everything Dies through Kickstarter.  If you have been keeping up on the Pages in Sequence blog,  you’d know that the production of Everything Dies 1 and 2 is nearing it’s completion and we are less than $500 away from the publishing being fully funded. On this holiest of weeks, might I suggest that you help to fully fund this project?  It’s very holy.

I'm a huge fan of the androgynous look. Blame it on the fact that a) I'm no girly-girl, and b) that I find mixing the feminine with the masculine very sexy. Anyway, I was looking through a film blog about the 70s, and I came across the a review of the seminal Woody Allen movie, Annie Hall, starring none other than the radiant Diane Keaton. There were pictures of her sporting men's clothing (worn in a very feminine manner) that just drew me like moth to the fire. It's phenomenal, the way she wore the clothing with much aplomb. I read the short review, and immediately told myself I'll download a torrent as soon as I can. Apart from the genius neuroticism of Allen, of course, it was Keaton's fashion that thoroughly convinced me. The pants, necktie, black vest, the sexy, no-nonsense hair, the strong personality... how she pulls it off is something I'd love to know.

If only I can pull something like that off. If Kate Moss can, I only wish I could. Hahaha. Check out the awesome interpretation:

LIKE LIKE LIKE! Hail Diane Keaton and androgyny! :)

My god, bored na talaga ako sa sarili ko. Bored ako sa buhay, to the point na hindi ko na trip gumawa ng art o design (kuno), my god, ganoon na ako ka-bored with life and myself and everythang.

Pssh gender stereotypes pssh hahahaha

  • I wish we had H&M here in the Philippines. I'd kill for their stuff. How can we have Zara and not H&M, anyway? Case point: this dress. BEAUTIFUL. I have no idea what to wear for christmas dinner; but this picture compels me to wear blue. To splurge or not to splurge?
  • I love my blockmates and orgmates. I found my niche in college because of these people. They make hellish weeks of academics worth it. Haha yehes. Blame the christmas parties for the sentimentality.
  • Bakit ang bilis ng panahon?
  • Ang daming gagawin over the break pero... chill muna. For now. *gulp*
  • Wag na 'no? Wag na.
  • I miss a lot of people though. I hope to spend some time with them over the break. You're reading this, [info]nosleepdreamer and [info]gmo_free , right?
  • God I suck at writing now. Boo.
  • Can you believe I got 4 banoffee pies in a span of 2 days? And they're GIFTS. Heaven!
  • Gotta sleep now. Will write again very soon. I owe it to lj and to myself. Merry christmas!

I really like the composition for this one.  Here is the problem.  This smoking character never appears in Everything Dies at all (it's a totally smoke-free book!).  I think I am going to recreate the composition with The Master from "Heart of Stonework" as the character, but use the same composition.

Here is an updated cover with the Master from Heart of Stonework.  Though, it sort of loses something without that cigarette.  Also: the mustache needs work.  I think I need a reference photo of Hulk Hogan.

Kickstarter news: Only 4 more backers until we reach our sexy mini-goal of 69 backers! Everyone who donates gets some sweet stuff.  Minimally, you'll get copies of these books, but the more you donate the more you get.

Just a month left on Kickstarter ! There seems to be a stall in the donations, must be that whole Christmas thing. I sure hope it picks up after Christmas…or right now!

1. Attend a party behind her house on the day before her last day of class (note: this works better if she has a test to study for)
2. Scream uproariously every five seconds. No, you do not need to have a reason.
3. Play lots of music. Preferably one with heavy bass.  (note: if you REALLY wanted to drive Kaye crazy, play Love Story by Taylor Swift)
4. Shout along to the lyrics
5. Keep it up until the wee hours of the morning.

I hate my neighbors, I really do. Especially the teenagers. No class, no breeding the lot of them. I feel like going over there and whacking them all on the head with the imaginary cane that symbolizes my advanced age.

Or reporting them to the village guard. *cue evil laughter* But Mom says I can't report them because 'tis the season and everything. BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS OKAY? There's a fine line between celebratory and just plain boisterous. I hope someone else reports them. I hope they get busted for like...underage drinking or something.

Momma didn't raise no foo. T______T

By the way, you can still leave me some love if you don't think I'm too cranky and surly for it.
